Doctoral programme: Zoology

The aim of the programme is to prepare specialists in the sub-disciplines of zoology, ecology, and evolutionary biology, with knowledge extending into related biological fields. In addition to mastering their specific discipline, emphasis is placed on comprehensive preparation for active scientific work, including mastery of relevant methods, publication skills, communication abilities related to project management, and international collaboration. The study programme is closely linked to the research conducted in the laboratories of the Department of Zoology. Students actively participate in the research projects conducted in the department, as demonstrated by relevant publication outputs. The programme concludes with a state doctoral examination and the defence of a dissertation.
